You didn’t have to turn any of this on. You also can’t turn it off.
The stuff below is enforced on the server, not a switch in Settings. That’s deliberate — protections that live in a menu can be flipped off in 30 seconds and never come back on. These don’t work that way.
Private profile.
Your account ships locked private. People have to send a follow request. You approve or decline. Nobody sees your posts unless you say yes first.
Adult DM shield.
Anyone 18+ cannot open a message thread with you unless you already follow them back. Not a setting we chose to add — it's enforced on the server.
Night blackout.
Between midnight and 6am your local time, you can't post, DM, or go live. We set the window based on state kid-safety laws. There's no toggle.
Content pre-moderated.
Every image and video you post gets scanned before it lands on the feed. Sometimes takes a couple minutes. It's not a punishment — it's the same check we run on every account.
Crisis resources.
If certain phrases show up, 988 and Crisis Text Line appear as a banner. What you tap on stays private. Not to your parent. Not to Trinity moderators. Just to you.
The choices are still yours.
- · Who you follow. Who you approve. Who you cancel.
- · Your Top 8 — pick 8 accounts you want on your profile. Reorder anytime.
- · Your posts, plays, videos, and stories. What you make. What you delete.
- · Who you message. You can start any thread. Adults 18+ can only start one with you if you follow them back first.
- · Report or block anyone. Two taps. No approvals.
- · Your profile photo, bio, header, and link.
Both sides have to agree. Always.
A parent can’t quietly attach to your account. When they send a request, you see it as a banner at the top of your feed with their real name, their photo, and every single thing they’ll be able to see. You tap Accept or Decline.
Decline it, and they can’t retry you for a week. Ignore it, and it expires on its own after seven days. Accept it, and you can still unlink anytime from Settings → Family. No cooldown. No parent approval to leave.
Even after you accept, they only ever see facts — who’s in your DMs, not what you said; how much time you spent, not what you watched; that a report exists, not what was in it.
These stay yours. Period.
- · Your messages, drafts, or search history
- · What you look at — only how much time you spend
- · Crisis-resource interactions — those stay only with you
- · Location or device contents
- · The ability to post, comment, or DM as you
// Same list appears on the parent page, served from the same source. If we ever changed what a parent can see, both pages would change together. There is no hidden second screen.
You can talk to someone right now.
